Alzheimer's is not a cause we read about. It came into our home. Our mother, Maria Nikolakopoulos, lived with it, and watching the disease take her memory a little at a time is what put this party on the calendar eleven years ago.

What started as one night for friends has grown into something our whole extended Pomodori family looks forward to. Together we have raised more than $175,000 for the Alzheimer's Association, money that goes to research, to care for families living with the disease today, and to the hope of a cure.

So on October 23 we will dress up, dance to DJ Case, bid on the silent auction and raise a glass to Mom. Every ticket and every donation helps. If you cannot be there, a tax-deductible gift to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor means just as much to us.
